The Animals & Society Institute (ASI) is excited to invite you to join them in celebrating Human-Animal Relationship Awareness Week (#HARAWeek) on November 11-17, 2024!
Now in its eighth year, ASI created this week to raise global awareness of the importance of human-animal relationships. Their vision is to live in a compassionate and equitable world where nonhuman animals and our relationships with them flourish, and they believe that a dedicated awareness week like HARAWeek offers an opportunity to draw attention to our relationships and interactions with nonhuman animals and the environment.
It doesn’t matter where you live, or if you’re celebrating as an individual or a group, Human-Animal Relationship Awareness Week is an international event celebrated in different ways all around the world! Here are some ways you can get involved:
Join their online November Colloquium Series event titled, “Should Animal Advocacy Avoid Causing Guilt and Shame?” on November 13, 2024 at 9am PT/12pm ET/7pm EET.
Spread the word! Throughout HARAWeek, you can use social media to create awareness, spread the message, and be part of the conversation. Use the hashtags #HARAWeek and #HumanAnimalRelationshipAwarenessWeek! If you’re looking for graphics, find our media kit here.
